I am a practicing psychoanalyst having undergone many years of rigorous analysis, and a registered psychologist. You can tell me about whatever that is on your mind. You may be struggling with interpersonal relationships, becoming intimate and feeling close to a partner may be distressing or at times uncomfortable. You may wonder about the same repeating issues in all aspects of your life. You may ask yourself, “why do I always do this?”, “what is happening to me?” Or “how do I know what I want”. Sometimes becoming motivated may be difficult, other times you may find it hard to get moving with the things that you want to do.
People may want to talk to me about their sense of their own identity, sex and sexual behaviours, obsessive thoughts or their compulsive behaviours. Sometimes it is difficult to deal with the intensity of one’s thoughts and emotions, regulating them or maintaining focus. I also offer treatment for a range of anxieties, phobias and depression.
In life, one may ask themselves: 'What is happening to me?' or, 'Why is this happening?' Sometimes, a 'What am I doing?', or 'Why do I always do this?'. What's clear, is that 'something' is happening and one doesn’t know how to articulate it. Psychoanalytic therapy works to enable somebody to speak and untangle one's being from factors not in one’s control.
