About
Bimba is a counsellor working with adolescents, young adults & and families from diverse socio-cultural and socio-economic backgrounds for over 10 years. Through therapeutic conversations, Bimba seeks to collaborate with the clients, to identify the strengths & expertise to deal with their life's challenges. She is committed to explore and unpack possibilities of their preferred ways of being in the world. In times of uncertainty, we may need a conversation space that enables us to share our most vulnerable thoughts. She offers to hold this space, listen to what is unsaid, and support the client in navigating through the concerns.
She adheres to using therapeutic approaches including Narrative Therapy, Trauma-focused CBT, Solution-focused therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy. She adopts a culturally sensitive and trauma-focused approach and brings reflections from her lived experiences in her practice. She seeks to use creative expression to simplify entangled emotions & thoughts.
The hope is to create a space where people can demonstrate courage to be vulnerable, and find a voice to share their thoughts. In-between where you are and where you want to be, there is an opportunity to look within & access your inner strengths. Seek support to explore your own expertise. Asking for help is the most courageous thing you can do.
