Hello, I’m Yannick. A registered Clinical Counsellor and Therapeutic Coach. I’ve had the honour of working therapeutically with diverse clients since 2022. I also have 10+ years of coaching and mentoring experience of clients in media organisations and the creative and performing arts.
My areas of expertise: major life transitions, personal identity and identity conflicts, neurodiversity, and the grief, trauma and loss often experienced in family life as well as in work/social/religious institutions. I love to learn from and work with clients from all backgrounds, cultures, faith perspectives, and sexual and gender identities.
At Big Light Counselling I have a particular focus on: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Person-centred therapy. You - as the client - are always at the centre of the counselling experience. I believe that you as the client are the expert in your own life. Counselling allows you to take hold of this truth.
Counselling is always about finding the right match - a person you know you can trust and feel zero judgment from. I offer discounted initial/intake sessions for you to assess whether I'm the right person to walk with you through what you're currently experiencing
