Bethwyn is a compassionate and empathetic provisional psychologist committed to supporting individuals through a range of life challenges. Holding a PhD in Psychology, a Master of Professional Psychology, and a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology, Beth brings both academic and practical expertise to her work. Beth’s prior professional experience spans working with young mothers, primary school and university students, and socially isolated elderly individuals.
Her approach is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Beth’s areas of interest include anxiety, depression, grief, social/emotional
development, and motherless mothering – a term describing adult daughters who raise their children without the support of their own mothers, and a topic explored extensively by Beth in both her Honours and PhD research.
