I am a counsellor and somatic psychotherapist with a special interest in supporting persons who navigate through trauma recovery; whether it is a complex trauma (C-PTSD) or a single incident trauma. This may express itself as; anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties or a loss of orientation to what matters to us in life. In sessions I use a person-centered, integrative approach depending on what works best for my clients. I am passionate about helping them to develop their capacity for healing, growth and positive change so they can fully engage in life.
My therapeutic work is informed by attachment, trauma and neurobiological theories and can be somatically oriented when words are not enough. I offer evidence-based trauma treatment modalities including Ego States, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Neuro-Affective Touch (NATouch), in which I am fully trained.
Living in 4 continents through my life has helped me confirm that, fundamentally, we have more similarities than differences. We all seek to fulfill the basic need for safety, connection, validation, positive regard and empathy. These are the qualities that are utmost important to me for my clients to experience in therapeutic process.
