In counselling, Prakash will (1) establish respectful and safe therapeutic relationship with you (2) collaboratively identify your goals and create a plan that is unique to you and (3) reignite the power and wisdom within you to achieve these goals.
As humans, we possess remarkable resilience, but we are also highly vulnerable. There are numerous factors that can affect our wellbeing, leading to feelings such as anxiety, sadness, hurt, guilt, anger, loneliness, disconnection, sense of unfulfillment, emptiness, etc. Sometimes painful memories from the past prevent us from fully embracing the present and building positive experiences. Often our own thoughts and beliefs work against us. Behaviours that were once soothing and comfortable, over time, become destructive. Coping with loss is often incredibly difficult. Unresolved arguments or conflicts can damage close relationships.

A counselling relationship between a Professional Counsellor and client is wonderfully safe and supportive, whereby clients are guided in exploring and resolving difficult life issues.
I strongly believe that every person has a purpose and set of skills/strengths they bring into this world; however, that sometimes inconvenient/negative circumstances or unhealthy relationships can derail this potential by planting a seed of self-doubt into our minds. Regardless of where it applies to an individual's life (e.g. marriage, career, etc.), it would be my privilege to help clients along the way to achieving their life goals/vision by helping them identify and deal with any stumbling blocks in their way. Life loves to throw curveballs (it wouldn't be interesting if it didn't), but I'd love to prepare my clients for them!

Clients also often approach me because they’ve been betrayed in relationship.
Frequently, it’s an individual who grew up in a loving family where there were issues & they’re wanting to work through them. Just as frequently, it’s an individual who grew up experiencing abuse, neglect &/or abandonment. Either of these individuals might now feel depressed &/or anxious, unworthy, dysregulated & alone.

I work with LGBTQ+ people and anyone feeling constrained or exhausted by the pressures to have a certain kind of marriage/ relationship, career, appearance etc and help them reconnect back to their values and purpose, stepping more into the life they want to have.
As a Narrative Therapist and previous journalist I firmly believe that the stories we tell ourselves shape us. When we hold onto stories of fear, our limitations and insecurities it takes a toll on our relationships, especially the one we have with ourselves. I help people connect more to the stories they want to live by to have more meaningful relationships

I work with clients struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship issues, and cultural adjustments.
You might already have a sense that therapy could help, and now you feel ready to take that step. Maybe you’ve been carrying something for a while, or you’ve done your own inner work but reached a point where you want support from someone who can walk alongside you. I offer an in-person and online therapy in both English and Thai for individuals navigating transitions, anxiety, or a deeper desire for clarity and connection with themselves and others.

I work with people who have a relationship structure that works for them – such as Polyamorous, Multigamous, Kink, BDSM, Open, and Swinging – and how they can work through the non-consensual-monogamous relationship expectations that have been placed on them from the Anglo-Saxon Overculture in colonialised Australia.

Some of these needs may include issues with sexual difficulties, gender or sexual identity, intimacy, pleasure, mismatched libido, desire discrepancies, intimate pain and other relationship struggles just to name a few.
Working with a Gestalt framework, Alana focuses on a here and now embodied approach that cultivates the connection between the mind-body. By reconnecting with your body's responses to certain behavioural or environmental factors, together we can begin to understand and work with the root of the issue.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While the need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
