My approach to life and therapy is shaped by Eastern philosophy — I believe healing involves cultivating compassion toward oneself and a sense of connection with the world around us.
Finding the right fit with a psychologist is not only important, but sometimes daunting. My name is Jase, and I opened Psychology in Balance with the vision of creating a space where clients can be well understood and motivated to become the best version of themselves - for themselves. I work with individuals and couples on a range of concerns, including anxiety, complex trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, emotional burnout, acute stress, attachment injuries, emotion regulation difficulties, and a lack of meaning or purpose. My practice is LGBTQIA+ informed and welcoming to all nationalities and spiritual dispositions.

I can provide pre/post diagnosis, trauma, relationship and life transition support.
As a peer in the queer and neurodivergence space, I am uniquely placed to provide a safe and healing space for you to explore the wants, needs and desires that have been hidden from others, and perhaps even yourself. I tailor my practice to my clients unique needs and take pride in a low expectation/demand style of support. I see the greatest change with my PDA clients who are rarely catered for, and those who have had limited or frustratingly low success with previous counselling experiences. I can be very flexible in how, when and where counselling happens but initially I prefer to work face to face.

Anxiety, distress, emotional pain and sadness can impede one's ability to engage fully in life.
I listen without judgement because I care for my clients. I am authentic and genuine as I value each person. Our work together may start with clarifying what is happening for you, to build understanding of the situation and your responses. From there we may explore new skills, such as regulation of emotions and thoughts. I love helping others to thrive.

Whether it involves navigating the demands of life, work, or sport; bouncing back from injuries and setbacks; or staying sustainable in a stressful and demanding world, that is where I help.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence, but always centred on the person in front of me - not a one-size-fits-all model. Drawing on years of experience in supporting performance and wellbeing, I help clients build insight, resilience, and confidence - and find approaches that actually fit their lives, not just a textbook.

It's so incredibly difficult to feel truly free and reach our potential in life if we lacked safety in childhood.
Are you alone in your pain? Don't feel good on the inside? Can't trust? Not sure who to talk to about all the hurt you're holding onto? Maybe all you really want is to feel close to someone. Someone who will be gentle with you and work slowly with you. Someone who wants to understand you just the way you are. No-one wants to feel separate. We all crave close human connection. To belong. To know we matter.

Therapy is always tailored to the individual, their nervous system capacity, and their unique life experiences.
Hi, I’m Valentina, Clinical Psychologist and founder of Soul Soothing Psychology. I work with adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, chronic pain, chronic health conditions, dysautonomia, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in survival mode — overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or struggling with symptoms that impact both mind and body. Often, they have spent years trying to cope with trauma, chronic stress, physical symptoms, burnout, hypervigilance, or persistent pain, while feeling misunderstood or unsupported.

I'm Maggie Whitbread and I work mainly with clients wanting to: overcome/manage anxiety, break out of cycles of behavior that no longer serve them, communicate better, understand themselves, navigate life transitions, and start living authentically and whole-heartedly.
I have extensive experience with managing stress/burnout, anxiety, and depression, processing trauma and pain, helping clients navigate challenging life events/transitions, and gaining deeper understanding of themselves. My non-clinical approach is particularly well-suited to young people, neurodiverse people or people looking for an 'alternative' approach.

I’m a compassionate, evidence-informed counsellor who creates a confidential, non-judgmental space where individuals and couples can explore life’s challenges, regain emotional balance, and build meaningful momentum toward the life they want.
I use evidence-based frameworks, particularly Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gottman-informed couples work. I have a particular interest in understanding how unmet emotional needs, attachment wounds, and learned coping strategies shape present-day thoughts, behaviours and relationships.

Grounded in a Christian vision of human dignity, I aim to foster healing, integration, and flourishing in faith, love, and life.
You may be feeling overwhelmed by stress, struggling with relationships, or carrying unresolved pain from your past. Perhaps you’ve tried pushing through on your own but keep finding yourself stuck in the same patterns. What you want is not just short-term relief but real change: freedom from what holds you back, healthier connections, and a clearer sense of purpose. My ideal client is someone ready to face these challenges honestly and willing to engage in a process of growth that goes deeper than surface-level solutions.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
