I am super passionate about my work as a Counsellor after many years of working in the corporate world left me searching for a more fulfilling and meaningful career.
I view anxiety, depression, behavioural issues, anger management, relationship issues as symptoms or rather coping strategies. While we focus on addressing the strategies in my approach depending on the client's goals, I also like exploring the underlying issues behind them so that to achieve more profound results.

Many of my clients arrive at a point of transition - a pregnancy, a diagnosis, a relationship shift, or a quiet sense that something needs to change. I also work across anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and disordered eating with people of all genders. Whatever brings you here, I'm interested in the whole picture - not just the presenting problem. If you're looking for a space that's honest, grounded, and genuinely collaborative - lets chat!

My training and experience in Construction, Education, Career Development, Counselling, ADHD, Autism and PDA has proven invaluable in the therapy room.
As a peer in the queer and neurodivergence space, I am uniquely placed to provide a safe and healing space for you to explore the wants, needs and desires that have been hidden from others, and perhaps even yourself. I tailor my practice to my clients unique needs and take pride in a low expectation/demand style of support. I see the greatest change with my PDA clients who are rarely catered for, and those who have had limited or frustratingly low success with previous counselling experiences. I can be very flexible in how, when and where counselling happens but initially I prefer to work face to face.

My ideal client is ready to face their challenges and find healing. They may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, or relationship difficulties, or navigating the unique challenges of being LGBTQIA+ or living with ADHD.
They are looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to be truly heard and understood. Their goal is to move beyond simply coping with their symptoms and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Ultimately, they want to reclaim their power, build resilience, and discover a path forward that is defined by their strengths, not their struggles.

Our great personal struggles often have a terrible feeling of familiarity: we know this anxiety, this depression, this means of coping, this inability to show up, go on, find what feels right. The great lie of these familiar struggles is that they are inevitable and unalterable, and this is the great value of counselling: the ways we struggle, the copes we use, the patterns we know are made new and changeable in the therapeutic encounter. In my practice, I bring a deeply nonjudgmental, empathetic and attentive awareness to your experience, the better to make the path of insight and change safe for you to tread.

I’m a clinical counsellor in Canberra with over twelve years’ experience working with adults and couples at important crossroads — in their relationships, their work, and their sense of self. Many of the people I see are capable and caring, yet feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or quietly disconnected, often carrying more than they let on.
My work is warm, relational, and gently structured. I offer a space to slow down, feel understood, and make sense of what’s beneath the surface so meaningful, sustainable change becomes possible.

How do I know if I need career counselling?
Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.
Who can benefit from career counselling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.
How long does career counselling typically last?
The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.
How to prepare for career counselling?
Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
