I focus on the person as a whole and want to help people be the best version of themselves. Moving away from a deficit focus, I use strengths-based approaches with my clients. I aim to continuously provide clients with respect, a collaborative approach to working on goals, with compassion and authenticity.

Fayez is a passionate and skilled counsellor, with vast life experience and a substantial background working in private practice that makes him care, empathetic and engaging. He provides effective therapeutic support across a diverse range of issues to individuals, couples and families. Fayez also provides supervision to other counsellors. Fayez is registered with the Australian Counselling Association, the Professional Counselling Association of the ACT & NSW, Australian Association of Social Workers and Resolution Institute.

As a seasoned and qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, including teenagers, single adults, couples, and parents. My extensive background in cardiac physiology has provided me with a unique perspective on the intersection of physical health and mental well-being. In addition to my clinical practice, I am also qualified as a professional supervisor for counsellors.

After living with my mental health struggles from childhood. I was told nothing could be done about it & I had to manage it for the rest of my life. On the journey to health, I was blessed with learning & experiencing so many priceless skills and lessons. These gained me invaluable insights and competencies to assist me in understanding & serving my clients in a way they feel understood and validated. Aiming to sincerely benefit without judgment and with unconditional positive regard.

Our team of highly skilled psychologists are bilingual and / or multilingual . Our practice is also located in multiple locations and telehealth for easier accessibility for clients.

Leonie has lived in the local area her whole life and has been practicing in Matraville for over 20 years. Leonie holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from Sydney University, is AHPRA, NDIS and SIRA accredited. Through her career Leonie has assisted patients of virtually every cultural background and believes the diversity of her patients has led to her skill and strength as a practitioner.
