Cheryn is a Clinical Psychologist. Cheryn’s qualifications are a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) and a Master of Clinical Psychology. Cheryn loves her work and is a very dedicated, warm and engaging therapist, with a keen sense of the privilege and responsibility that her role involves. She enjoys accompanying her clients on their path through difficulty and grounds her work in an attuned and genuine understanding of her clients and their needs. ​ Cheryn has an affinity working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and her experience has enabled her to become resourceful in adapting therapies.

Our team of highly skilled psychologists are bilingual and / or multilingual . Our practice is also located in multiple locations and telehealth for easier accessibility for clients.

I strive to ensure my clients feel heard, understood and respected, regardless of their situation, past or concern. Taking a positive psychology and humanistic approach, I fundamentally believe that every person has a unique strength and I strive to maximise and build upon that strength. I focus on the person as a whole and want to help people be the best version of themselves. Moving away from a deficit focus, I use strengths-based approaches with my clients. I aim to continuously provide clients with respect, a collaborative approach to working on goals, with compassion and authenticity.

I have extensive experience providing treatment within a vast scope of areas, these include addictions, adolescences, trauma informed care and recovery, families and relationships, psychiatric mental health, disabilities, men’s behaviour, and domestic and family violence. I utilise evidence-based treatments, cognitive behaviour therapy, A key aspect of my intervention involves mindfulness, “the element of being aware of oneself”. Outside of career pursuits, l enjoy recreational sports, travel, music, meditation, and family life.

As a seasoned and qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, including teenagers, single adults, couples, and parents. My extensive background in cardiac physiology has provided me with a unique perspective on the intersection of physical health and mental well-being. In addition to my clinical practice, I am also qualified as a professional supervisor for counsellors.

My goal as a licenced professional counsellor is to assist my clients in making positive adjustments that sometimes seem just out of reach. But I assure you that there isn't! Life can be challenging sometimes, and you might feel slightly confused. But during our sessions, I'll be a supportive mentor, walking each step of the journey with you. you are restoring your inner self-assurance, humour, and light because what you seek will no longer be lost because it was always there! Every session I utilise a person-centred approach to help you gain the self-assurance you need to live your authentic, happy life.
