Being a passionate advocate for non-directive Child-Centred Play Therapy, an approach which is backed by neuroscience and is strictly evidence based, I specialise in working therapeutically with families of children of 2-10 years old to support their child towards their full potential. I recognise the importance of facilitating parents with their involvement in the child's therapy by helping them to become therapeutic agents for their children. I have a special interest integrating this in therapy with children on the Autism Spectrum and with other developmental issues.
At Child Play Therapy, we provide a safe and supportive environment for children and their families who are experiencing varied developmental, social, emotional and physical difficulties. Our goal is to contribute to the health of our community - working in collaboration with educators, health professionals and varied organisations.
Our aim is to support your child by addressing their emotional and psychological wellbeing goals inclusive of your individual needs and wishes as a family. The therapeutic approaches we use to create an individualised intervention are underpinned by the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics developed by Dr Bruce Perry, as well as Dr Porges' Polyvagal Theory.
