I'm Anneke, a psychotherapist and counsellor based in Pymble on Sydney's Upper North Shore. I work with adults navigating major life transitions, including menopause, retirement, empty nesting, separation or divorce, redundancy, career change, caregiving, and the particular challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals and families sometimes carry. I also have particular experience supporting adults through workplace stress, whether that's burnout, a difficult environment, or the aftermath of redundancy or career change.
My approach is warm, person-centred, and grounded in trauma-informed practice. Using attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and interpersonal neurobiology, I help you understand how past experiences shape your current responses and guide you towards a more grounded sense of self.
