Usually, we find ourselves in therapy when something in our lives is not working and we’re looking for change. Yet, there are times when words fail to express what is going on for us. Some life experiences get locked in the body and shape the rest of our lives. We may know that the past has deeply affected us, yet words are not enough to help us process it and move on. Research shows that body centered therapy is most effective in managing and healing childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions and attachment issues.
I am a Dance Movement Therapist and Life Coach using body/movement approaches to help my clients come to terms with their past, heal and move forward. You will be supported to shed light onto areas in your body where that old story might be locked and start to shift it. Tuning into the body and its wisdom, begins the healing process.
If you feel that past has shaped how you see yourself and how you move in the world and that no matter how much you talk about your issue, it doesn't resolve, a somatic/movement based approach may help you release the hold of the past and create a new way forward. Together, we can find the way to break the old habits and help you create new possibilities.
