I take care to create a friendly, welcoming space where you will feel respected and heard. My approach is non-judgmental, compassionate and empathetic, and I am committed to helping you on your path to emotional well-being. I hold authenticity and autonomy in high regard. What is talked about in the counselling room is treated with respect, dignity and confidentiality. It is a place where you can talk about things that you might not feel comfortable talking about anywhere else, or with anyone else. The therapeutic space is a place where individuals can address the issues that prevent them from thriving rather than just getting by.
I have many years of experience in working successfully with people and am confident in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss/grief, relationships, survivors, family issues, infertility, illness, addiction/self-medication, stress, mental health and well-being, self-harm and suicide, sexuality and identity. I work in a trauma informed manner.
Commencing in psychotherapy and counselling takes a great deal of courage. Creating a secure atmosphere where we may build trust and collaborate to bring about the change you desire is my goal. You are invited to a free 15-minute conversation before making an appointment, where any questions we both have can be addressed.
