About
I completed my Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Melbourne March 2020, and am registered with AHPRA as a Clinical Psychologist. I love the challenge of formulating for each individual client, and adapting this formulation (and treatment plan) over time as one's presentation or circumstance changes. I am passionate about working alongside clients to help them improve their quality of life, and particularly in empowering clients in their ability to cope with psychosocial stressors. Change is hard; clients do not need to be 100% motivated 100% of the time; but they need to want to want to be motivated some of the time
Particular experience working with individuals with eating disorders, body image and self-esteem/self-worth difficulties, mood disorders (including depression, anxiety, stress management and anger), and relationship difficulties (romantic or other). Various treatment modalities, including ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, DBT and Compassion-Focused Therapy
My love for psychology relates to its perfect blend of both science and art. My commitment to clients is staying informed on the science of psychology through ongoing professional development. And I understand psychology requires the art of flexibility through a collaborative, non-judgemental and warm atmosphere to adapt therapy to each person's own goals
