I’m Amy, I am a proud Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. I have been working and volunteering in communities for over 12 years. I am passionate about supporting people to develop a sense of self and a meaningful life. I mostly work with young adults, but I am open to working with all ages. I work alongside people with a thoughtful and empowering style to help people understand the challenges they are facing in the context of their life, and seek to strengthen emotional, social and mental health. I believe that therapy can offer a wonderful platform for self-discovery and personal growth.
I believe that you are the expert of your life, and it is my role to listen and work alongside you. I am warm, non-judgemental and holistic in my approach, and I utilise a person-in-community centred approach, a trauma informed approach, and strengths based frameworks. I utilise EMDR, schema therapy, and mindfulness in my practice.
