I'm an accredited Medicare registered therapist (AMHSW) with rebates available. I work with trauma, anxiety, mental health issues, grief and loss. I am highly experienced in the area of complex trauma and have a deep understanding of the ways this impacts everyday life and connections. Around trauma, I work both somatically and with talk therapy. I offer a safe and accepting space for members of the LGBTIQ+ community, providing support and understanding around issues such as coming out, gender identity, dysphoria and exploring sexual orientation. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches to work in a person-centred holistic way.
My therapeutic approach utilises Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Attachment Theory, Trauma-informed Therapy and Poly Vagal Theory. My work is implicitly trauma informed and as a qualified body worker I hold awareness of the ways we embody our emotions and work to support you in finding ease and meaning in your experiences.
Often we diminish our challenges & we compare them to those of others. Challenges in all shapes and forms are worthy of support. My goal is to provide a safe & connected space to explore what's happening for you. If you'd like to learn more about how I work click on my website: Stable Self, stableself.com.
