I feel great compassion for people who struggle with change and adaptation to new circumstances. I have spent my professional career working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, adjustment disorder(s), sleep dysfunction, emotional regulation difficulties, identity instability, cognition and communication challenges, complex and chronic medical concerns and trauma. No matter what challenges people are faced with I believe that all people have the ability to create a life they would rather be living and I enjoy helping work out how to move towards that.
My therapeutic approach is to facilitate sessions collaboratively with you, the client to identify your strengths and incorporate education & supports to address weaknesses. In this process we aim to develop a deeper understanding of the underlying causes of distress, identify goals and create an action plan that includes tools, techniques and strategies.
