Welcome - I’m Alex, a registered counsellor working together with people who want to feel more themselves.
I offer an explorative approach to therapy, inviting you to closely acquaint yourself with your inner world. In this therapeutic space, parts of yourself that have previously been hidden away, or which have been too confusing or threatening to engage with, become possible to understand and embrace through our shared curiosity. This process can bring renewed flexibility to previously rigid patterns, helping you to live with greater freedom and authenticity in the longer term.
As your counsellor, my role is to support and guide you on this journey. I work collaboratively with you to explore the deeper sides of your difficulties, rather than focusing on short-term fixes. The duration of your treatment is guided entirely by your needs, whether shorter or longer term therapy is required.
I hold a Master of Counselling and am registered as a Certified Practicing Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). The theoretical and philosophical interests informing my practice are guided mainly by the psychodynamic, existential and humanistic traditions.
