Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through psychological therapy and treatment, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.

I am a 61-year-old mature woman with lived experience. I worked with people from different social and ethnic background, across three continents and was inspired to study the motivations behind human behaviours through the lens of the biopsychosocial model. As a provisional psychologist, my therapeutic work is inspired through this model to develop and understand the personal challenges and limitations that people endure. I endeavor to improve self-worth, personal strengths, and adaptability to foster long-term resilience. My strengths are empathy and compassion.

A client would attend the clinic to address their presenting concerns, without the fear of judgement, stigma or shame. A client might be feeling lost, hopeless or worthless and feeling the need to get some assistance with their mood and negative thoughts.

Nez’s engaging and welcoming approach helps to put her clients at ease, and creates a safe space for them to open up and discuss any concerns. Nez provides unconditional support to her clients, guiding them to achieve insight about their concerns at their own desired pace. In this way, her client’s feel heard without judgement, and empowered to make changes in their own time and way. Nez is particularly skilled at helping her clients to improve communication, build trust, and deepen authentic relationship with self and others.

I am a senior social worker with many years experience in private practice and working in government and non-government agencies across Australia. I have worked with men, women, children and families, including people from different backgrounds such as Military personal, veterans and their families, Indigenous language groups, migrants and humanitarian entrants, and prisoners, just to name a few. I can treat depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, relationships, as well as stress, life transitions, and trauma. I use a compassionate, safe, and practical approach. My additional qualifications in art therapy when combined with mindfulness, has helped many people from very different backgrounds. I have lived experience as an army veteran and humanitarian aid worker in Iraq, and am not unused to tough situations. I welcome adults, couples, young people, LGBTQIA, veterans, and seniors.
