Life events and personal issues relating to relationship conflicts, grief, losses, and trauma may cause feelings of being overwhelmed with emotions, anxieties, worrying thoughts, procrastination, stress, inability to think clearly, lack of direction and hopelessness. Counselling can assist in exploring dysfunctional beliefs that may be holding you back in life, looking at positive coping strategies and behaviours and, if required, doing EMDR for trauma.
As a PACFA Clinical Counsellor, I use a person-centred approach with evidence-based and informed practices to assist individuals one-on-one or couples. I offer a trauma-informed approach using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process traumatic events. I am a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
