Being able to talk about what's going on in your life in a safe and non-judgemental space can be a powerful catalyst for change. Counselling is based on your needs with interventions grounded in a holistic understanding of you and your life. It aims to facilitate improved self-knowledge and understanding of issues you may be experiencing, which enhances steps towards improved mental health and emotional well being. If agreed upon I am able to work with you in helping to understand the association between past experiences and current behaviour. Early influences can shape us and our ability to exert control over present functioning.
Over many years, I have strived to gain a deeper understanding of who I am both personally and professionally and have had the privilege of using that knowledge to assist others overcome challenges and start enjoying life again. I am a firm believer in my own well-being and taking care of 'self' physically, emotionally, creatively and intellectually.
