I work primarily with folks who’re struggling in their relationships. Mostly, I work with romantic partners, but also with mothers & daughters, business partners, friends and individuals. My clients typically have difficulties in communicating effectively with others, especially during conflict when they’re feeling all the feelings. Clients also often approach me because they’ve been betrayed in relationship. Sometimes, there’s been an affair, an experience of sexual assault, or an unexpected separation...

Please remember—you are not alone. Whatever challenges or difficult emotions you’re facing, you have the strength within you to move through them. If you're feeling overwhelmed, scared, lost, anxious, lonely, confused, angry, sad, or anything in between—know that all of these emotions are welcome here. You are invited to feel them fully, gently... and then, when you're ready, let them pass. I know it can be hard to face the unknown parts of yourself. But I invite you to be brave—to explore within, to meet yourself with compassion, and to discover the love that lives in you. You are worthy. You are capable. You are not alone.

I’m Hana, a therapist and mum of two, and just like you, I know what it’s like to be in the thick of it, overwhelmed, triggered, stretched thin, and still wanting more for yourself and your family. I help mums step out of survival mode and start thriving in both motherhood and life. Together, we focus on the things that matter most: caring for yourself without guilt, learning to regulate your emotions even in the chaos, and finding ways to ease and share the mental load. This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about creating more capacity to enjoy your kids, to feel like yourself again, and to parent with intention.

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck despite their capabilities. They might be a gifted individual struggling with perfectionism and self-doubt, a veteran navigating civilian life transitions, an athlete facing performance anxiety or mental blocks, or someone managing anxiety that's preventing them from living authentically. They're ready to do the work but need guidance understanding their patterns. They want to develop psychological flexibility, practice self-compassion, and align their actions with their values. They're seeking not just symptom relief, but genuine life satisfaction and the tools to handle future challenges

Do you feel on edge, easily distracted, or irritable? Do you catch yourself overanalyzing and questioning decisions or interactions with other people? Overwhelmed? Burnt out? Stressed or tired all the time? Overthinking constantly? Always in “fix it” mode? Experiencing headaches, dizziness, brain fog or feeling like everything is “too much”? Feeling overly sensitive or emotional? I work with adults and young people (16+) who describe these exact experiences. So many of us suffer in silence because emotional pain isn’t visible. We keep pushing through, hoping that if we try harder or find the right strategy, or maybe just distract ourselves enough, it will all ease. In my experience, this rarely works, but there are ways to compassionately end the struggle.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
