I am a compassionate clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). With a warm, collaborative approach, I help people face feared thoughts and situations step-by-step, reduce anxiety, and reclaim the activities that matter most. I draw on a broad therapeutic toolkit, integrating evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy to tailor treatment to each person’s strengths and values.

I work mainly with women who for whatever reason, are finding life a bit of a struggle. I do also work with men to help them understand the women in their lives. I am also trained in couple counselling. Some of the most common reasons come to see me include relationship issues, mothering, work/life balance problems, anxiety, depression, grief/loss to name but a few. Commonly we get bogged down in how we “should” be doing things, rather than what suits us and our lives. Women tend to put themselves at the back of the queue, and in times of stress, our self care tends to suffer, leading to overwhelm. Let me help!

How are you...Really? If you are reading this, chances are something in your life is not working out well. Are you feeling stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by stress, or frustrated that insight alone hasn't led to lasting change? Have you experienced a major life change, and are struggling to cope? Maybe you know what needs to change, but making it happen is hard, confusing or not sustainable? Often people start in the middle, with the behaviour itself, but that is not where true change begins. You have to go deeper. I can partner with you to discover how you got here, and then create a strategy to get your life back on track.

As a neuroaffirming clinician I take a client centred and strengths approach, respecting your unique neurotype and what works best for you! What might we talk about in therapy? Almost anything! Perhaps it's stress, anxiety or depression, your neurodivergent identity (ADHD/Autism), the assessment process (I can provide post diagnosis support/coaching for ADHD and Autism), the executive functions of the brain or substance use difficulties. Or maybe its parent support (raising neurodivergent children), strategies for time management, procrastination, emotion regulation or values identification...the list goes on!

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when we're trying to navigate our emotions, relationships, work, or even our own expectations. It’s not always easy to understand why we do what we do or how to make the changes we want. If you’re looking to become a more authentic version of yourself and gain a deeper understanding of your actions, therapy can be a powerful tool to help you on that journey. There are times when we just need to speak our truth—without fear of judgment or the worry that our words might be misunderstood. If you are tired of living the same cycle, therapy will help you make the changes you desire.

My counselling philosophy is that you are the author and director of your life. Sometimes we get lost or knocked off-track and find it hard to get back to where we want to be. This is my job, to listen to you, understand your challenges and to work with you to get you back on track. To help you find the lost hope, or to help you achieve a great goal, whatever it is, I am your partner, team-mate and helper, to stand with you along the journey. I am solution focused, with an objective to guide you from where you are now, to where you want to be, in as little time as possible.
