Counselling in 2000

I am a registered counsellor and a dedicated member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). My intention as a counsellor is to embody a warm, vibrant, and gentle therapeutic presence. I provide online individual therapy with a specialisation in adolescent mental health, emerging adulthood, and gender/identity. People also see me for support with stress, worry, anxiety, depression, trauma, communication, self-esteem, or when they just need a little extra support during this season of life (because being human can be complicated).

Finding a therapist that fits with you is daunting! I have a relaxed and patient nature and have experience with a wide range of ages, cultures and experiences. I also love a good metaphor, to laugh and to engage humour in our sessions as we work together. We will collaboratively to reconnect you with who you want to be. Together, we will work as a team in a safe and friendly space where there is no judgement only respect for you as an individual. I'm here to help you build a life that is meaningful and fulfilling to you.

My approach aligns with the notion of getting comfortable being uncomfortable. Understanding that change requires effort, courage, and a willingness to face discomfort. If you are committed to wanting to understand yourself and are open to being challenged in ways that push you towards radical self-acceptance and lasting transformation then I may be the right fit for you.

There are few places we can just 'be' who we really are without judgment, expectation, or the need to perform in some way. It can be difficult to hear your own song when the whole orchestra is playing! I like to think of our time together as your quiet space. Somewhere you can feel safe to share what is happening in your world and receive the compassion and understanding you deserve.

Life can be hard at times, and when we meet the messy moments it can feel isolating, overwhelming, and hopeless. We are human, after all. It makes sense that we may find ourselves stuck at times - stuck in our feelings, thoughts, and behaviours and it can be tough to shift things in the right direction, especially if we are doing it on our own. With honesty and compassion, therapy is a place to explore what you're navigating and create sustainable change that supports your healing and growth. I support women who are wanting to shift out of survival mode so they can feel grounded, confident, and free.

***PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL*** Hi, I'm Rae (they/them) and I'm a trans non-binary and multiple neurodivergent registered supervisor (I avoids using the term ‘clinical’ to describe the supervision work I do, as I prefer to use non-clinical language in my approaches), arts therapist, and psychotherapist with a lived experience of chronic illness. I have white Anglophone privilege and settler privilege. I experience marginalisation due to living in cisgenderist, binary, neurotypical-centred society. I am very passionate about disability rights, the LGBTQIA+ community and mental health. I am vegan and love animals.
