Stephen Joseph Ph.D.
Stephen A. Joseph, Ph.D, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Nottingham and a Fellow of the British Psychological Society. A leading expert on positive psychology, he has edited or written many books and articles on topics such as authenticity, posttraumatic growth, and well-being.
As well as his scientific work, Stephen writes for the general reader interested in psychological ideas. He has published several popular self-help books including Think Like a Therapist: Six Life-Changing Insights for Leading a Good Life, an engaging distillation of his many years of research and practice; and Authentic: How to Be Yourself and Why It Matters, in which he introduces the authenticity formula: Know yourself, own yourself, be yourself.
