Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?

Wow, Mr. Rosen, I am putting together a presentation about teaching the i generation and I stumbled upon this and was connecting it to some data that I saw in a Renaissance Learning workshop earlier this year when I realized that it was the same data...RL uses parts of your book in so much of their presentations, but I'm sure you know that! I am only in my 8th year of teaching, but so much has changed in reaching my students that short amount of time. I can see with my own two sons that they are much more interested in anything technology...my 5 year old received a Kindle fire for his birthday so that my husband and I could use our iphones once in a while! Thank you for your research and your thoughts on the way that we, as teachers and parents, can most effectively teach our children!
