Why are so many people drawn to conspiracy theories in times of crisis?

Thanks for your post and I feel your pain and grief. I’m seeing the exact decline with my mother who has Alzheimer’s. She too has stopped walking and is struggling to eat I truly believe we must advocate for different Covid quarantine practices for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. I’m frustrated that family members are not recognized as an integral part of the well being of a person living with Alzheimer’s. Surely there can be a practice of allowing at least one family member as a part of the care team with appropriate PPE, distancing and masking Family members know their loved one best and have ways to support them to be stimulated and more active which is essential to overall wellbeing. Residential caregivers are pressed for time. Families fill all kinds of gaps. Know that you did all that you could in these trying times and that your story will influence change.
