My question concerns the idea of ethics, specifically deontological ("where does my duty lie?") or Kantian ethics
(Immanuel Kant, who gave us the term _categorical imperative_). In what way would Kantian ethics be "reasonable" or "unreasonable?" And would the emotions
involved in moral judgment according to Kantian criteria themselves be "reasonable" (inside the ballpark of normal
human emotion) or not?
