When women were equal it was called the Stone Age.
Then men took over and invented civilization and we eventually got the Space Age...
...Now women are equal again and we are seeing a new stone age.
So you're not a "10" in every which way. But you're probably pretty spectacular in some way, and definitely good enough in most areas of life. If ever there were a time to stop beating yourself up for being human, it is now.

Most of history is about patriarchs. The pages of antiquity are full of names like Genghis and Atilla, Pericles and Constantine. Women’s names are fewer and farther between.
But for thousands of years before history was written, women made names for themselves. And that’s happening more and more often, now.
There aren’t many women in the Bible. We know the names of a few wives. There’s Adam’s wife, Eve—the fit helper God made from Adam’s rib; and there’s Abraham’s wife, Sarah, and his maid, Hagar, and his other wife, Keturah—who bore all of 8 named sons. Sarah’s son, Isaac, would go on to have twins; and Isaac’s son, Jacob, would have 12 sons of his own.
But most of their daughters were forgotten. None of Adam’s daughters, or Abraham’s daughters, or Isaac’s daughters, are mentioned in the Bible. And only one of Jacob’s daughters gets any press. Her name was Dinah, and she was seduced by a Hivite prince. So her brothers came upon his city unaware, and killed all the males (Genesis 34:25).
So it went in pretty much every other history, for a few thousand years. In Egypt, places were saved in the tomb of Rameses II for his dozens of named sons. In the Mahabharata, the Sanskrit classic written at India’s great Maurya and Gupta courts, descendants of The Great Sun have 10,000, or 10,000 x 10, or 10,000 x 10 x 10 sons. No daughters are mentioned. And in China, the importance of being a boy was established as early as the Shi jing odes. Sons slept in cradles, and played with jade scepters. “He shall be the lord of a hereditary house.” Daughters slept on the floor, and played with loom shuttles. “She shall not cause trouble to her parents.”
But it was otherwise before history was written. For upwards of 100,000 years, hunter-gatherer daughters were probably as likely to inherit property, as likely to decide where to raise their families, and as likely to make a name for themselves as their forager brothers. We know that, because foragers are like that now.
On the Kalahari, for instance, just 40% of !nore waterholes, a most valuable resource, are passed on from father to son. The rest are inherited from mothers, from neither parent, or from both.
In Paraguay, newlywed Aché are much more likely to set up housekeeping near a wife’s family (16 cases) than near a husband’s family (2 cases) or neither’s family (2 cases).
And across hunter-gatherer cultures, descent is less often through mothers than it is through fathers—but not uncommon through mothers, who give children their names about a third of the time.
In sum: Egalitarianism and sexual egalitarianism correspond. Women are all but invisible in the polygynous despotisms of history. But in most hunter-gatherer societies, they're as well-known as men. And they're well-known in our own.

Spoken like a true patriarch. The patriarchy came into being when agriculture was developed some 10,000 yrs ago. More than likely it was invented by a woman, since they were the ones doing most of the gathering. The great leap of faith that occurred was one someone (a woman?) decided to hold back some of the seeds that they had gathered and to plant them the following spring. Farming meant that the tribes no longer had to wander following the herds, how ever now the hunters had to become guardians of the land, which meant the establishment of boundaries, armies and feudal lords, towns and cities. Religion was developed to keep the population in control and to ensure the patriarchy was maintained. In the process women became chattel to be bartered, bought and sold, much like slaves.
As we evolved from the Agricultural age to the Industrial Age and now into the Age of Technology, the need to have a patriarchal society has lessened and with the advent of the feminist movement in the mid 20th century we are moving quickly toward a more egalitarian or perhaps even a matriarchy. Witness the decline of males graduating with collage/university degrees and the movement of women up through the ranks of business. Also note the decline of participation in religion and adherence to religious dogma.
The times they are a changing, and to a certain degree for the better!
If women invented agriculture, then why were all the farmers throughout history men, in all cultures?
How come the hybridization of crops was done by men?
So, much for you unrecorded, fairy tail history.
yeah well look at the inovations and inventions of THE WHITE MALE and then get back to me..damn near eveything the world uses on a daily basis was created by? Yep you guessed it.Just say thank you and move on.Nothing to see here.
How ridiculous to suggest that innovation is entirely due to white men. Talk about self delusion and erasure. And even if that were the case - which it isn't - what do you want? A medal? A cookie? A pat on the head? For people to grovel at your feet? You sound like a spoilt child.
Yes I agree. Look at history and all that man has done...
Man created rape.
Man created slavery.
Man created war.
Main created ownership.
So thank you.
Thank you for showing yourself for what you truly are.
You are danger
you are entitlement
You are destruction
If men didn't exsist, the world would know true peace and balance.
But now all it knows is destruction.
And you can take all the credit. It is yours for the taking...
Seriously...
I'm a man and I have seen many women perform atrocious acts that I find abhorring and acts that I am incapable of doing.
I was watching a documentary of Moammar Gadhafi (not a nice person) who used to make it an annual affair to hang people he considered dissidents. At one hanging, one "dissident" was struggling at the end of a a rope, the noose tight around his neck. A woman in the cheering crowd ran out, grabbed the guys legs and hung on till he was dead. This is only one example of female cruelty. Tell me again how bad men are...
The point is that many women claim that it would be a better world if run by women, but that claim cannot be made until we actually see women in that position. I seriously doubt that there will be any difference.
Addressing your concerns...
Man created rape? Rape is an act, not a creation. Also, it is a result of a hormonal condition which can be viewed as a medical problem.
Man created slavery? It seems to me that many women of the past owned slaves.
Man created war? No, politicians created war and still do to this day where men and women are both politicians.
Man created ownership? Ownership of what?
To the point...
Man didn't do all these things you claim. A few men did and there is no justification to blame all men for the actions of an extreme minority. If we were to think that way, I could use the example of the woman hanging on the legs of a hanged man to claim that all women are cruel. I'm sure you wouldn't accept that as reality.
That are many cruel people in the world, but most of us are not that way.
women didn't own slaves as women weren't allowed to own property.
You really need to study history. That is one of the myths that N.O.W. is spreading.
If you have any doubt, use logic. If a rich man died, what happened to his wife? Did she loose all the property and money, was she put out onto the street? Not likely, don't you think?
I'm not going to go into it, but you really really need to read some history. Much of what these women groups put out is very misleading, but don't take my word for it. You'll be amazed at what you learn. Hopefully it'll open your mind and you'll question what you now believe.

White guy...About innovations and inventions...
These are the product of a very few people. Granted, most of these people have been men. I'm not so sure that being a man is the reason for such creativity because there are women of high intelligence too. Other factors may have been responsible for the predominance of men in this regard, It's possible that sometime in the future some women may contribute equally. Time will tell. BTW, skin color has nothing to do with anything.
Let me tell you something about men and women (people). The vast majority of us live our entire lives contributing "nothing" that leaves a legacy for future generations. I am part of that group as are most people. I, you, and almost everyone else cannot take credit for other peoples work just because they are the same sex (or the same skin color).
I will say this about men, humanity would probably perished a very long time ago if it wasn't for men being the way they are. Our strength and our aggressiveness gave humanity the edge it needed to survive the harsh conditions of the past. As for aggressiveness, some women can be just as aggressive.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but, in the present day, women are trying hard to come up with any proof that shows women have contributed equally to humanity, grasping at straws in the process.
There is no doubt that, up to this point in history, men have been the predominate force that has shaped our world. That doesn't mean that it will always be this way. Women have made great strides approaching life on an equal basis, but that doesn't mean that they will outperform men in any category. If anything, it should be about equal. The great scientists of the past are far and few between and I suspect that it will be this way in the future. As I said, most of us will be born and die forgotten because most of us contribute very little or nothing noteworthy during our lifetime.
It seems that most of today's women are pursuing careers that pretty much guarantees that history will forget them, such as business, law, politics, and, yes, even psychiatry. Almost all of the great inventions and discoveries have resulted from the hard sciences and engineering, fields of endeavor that most women are avoiding at the present.

Before history was written? How do you know what happened thousands of years ago?
The fact is that even relatively recently, many people have lived, but very few are remembered. Does it make sense to base history on the few who were remembered?
Heck, you can't even compare the present using that thought process. The United States Government, on the world stage, is an aggressive, self righteous, secretive, and domineering entity (rightly or wrongly so is another issue), However, I'm not that way nor are the people that I personally know. The fact is that people who have held or hold power are not representative of the masses, so to speak.
Besides, there is more than one viewpoint for every situation. It would be accurate to say that Europeans came to the new world in droves and destroyed the civilizations it found. We like to glorify those early Americans, but it can be said that these Europeans were thieves and murders.
