Agreeded
I agreee that as the US dollar loses power on the International Market, thus US citizens are experiencing inflation. I also agree that everyday necessaties in the US are going down. As Americans spend less the demand for these products pushes the supply and the price downward. However, more and more of products consumers buy are coming from overseas. Since our dollar is weakning in the international market this overrides the fact that products are selling for less in the United States. If our dollar does not regain its strength on the international market the citizens of the United States will diffently experinece inflation.

I completely agree with this blog in every aspect. I see it everyday how the prices on many every day goods are rising where as the luxary goods are falling due to the lack of interest in people buying them. I hope and feel that this may turn around sometime in the near future because at this point if feel that our economy is pretty far down in that ditch and there is only one way and that is up!
I found this blog to be very
I found this blog to be very interesting, and I agree with Dr. Nofsinger. His point that we are experiencing domestic deflation and international inflation is very visible. I notice on a daily basis how prices have changed on many types of goods. It seems as though we will continue to experience the national inflation until the economy rebounds and the value of the U.S. dollar begins to rise again.
I thought that Dr. Nofsingers
I thought that Dr. Nofsingers blog was very insightful. I never would have thought that we could have been experiencing inflation and deflation at the same time. However, when phrased as it was in the article it made perfect sense. Since the dollar is definitely weaker than it has been in the past it is very easy to see the perspective of international inflation. The deflation inside the US is also easy to see when Dr. Nofsinger used the real estate market as an example. It will be interesting to see how long it will take for the dollar to weaken or see if it will pick up more strenth in the near future. Hopefully the economy will improve and we will start to feel the positive effects of this since recently everyone has felt the negative effects of both the inflation and deflation.
Hmm..
This puts two related terms into an interesting perspective. I have never thought about the fact that we could be experiencing inflation and deflation. Its a scary thought to think that our dollar is sinking so fast. Internationally we are putting ourselves into a worse situation every day it seems. Hopefully, we will begin to get back to somewhere close to where we used to be.
Longer term inflation
As the economy recovers and demand increases, the removal of deflationary pressures may unleash all of the inflationary ones domestically.
Excellent blog
