Confidence
The problem with words is what do they mean.
There is the confidence of ignorance and immaturity. We just
don't know enough about ourselves to have internal doubts. We
often confuse that kind of "confidence" with Leadership and decisiveness. We put people like that in public office all
the time.
We can be very self confident and very self destructive so from
that point of view confidence is neither a positive or negative
trait. It is neutral.
The context makes the difference. For example are we confident
and self aware, emotionally mature, etc...
