I completely agree

My weight bounces around a 4 pound range generally, depending on dehydration, salt, etc. The range moves down slowly, but I no longer get upset about it. Desensitized is a good word. Most don't agree with me weighing every day, and while once a month would look like things were changing more, the daily makes me comfortable. Generally if I avoid the scale, my weight starts climbing, and it's a lot easier to not notice it until the jeans no longer fit.
