Paula Davis-Laack, J.D., M.A.P.P.

Paula Davis-Laack, J.D., M.A.P.P., is a lawyer turned positive psychology practitioner, professional coach, and work/life expert specializing in stress, work, and lifestyle issues for high-achieving women.

After seven years practicing commercial real estate law for a large law firm and then as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 company, Paula was deeply concerned about the attrition rates of talented women in the legal profession, particularly in law firms. Unmitigated levels of stress and burnout combined with few options to support their work/life juggle forced many women to either redefine their career path or suffer in silence.

After her own struggle with chronic stress and burnout, Paula decided to change careers and pursue her entrepreneurial dreams. She is one of the first 200 people in the world to have earned a master's degree in applied Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, and has since developed an expertise in the science of well-being and its link to building resilience and reducing stress.

In addition to her work with high-achieving women, she is also a member of an elite training team that provides resilience training for the U.S. Army, the first training of its kind in the military designed to improve leadership and performance and reduce the effects of stress within the soldiers' day-to-day lives.  She also speaks to law firms and companies about work/life issues, resilience and stress management.
