End of Life Issues
We all have to face them. Today's Baby Boomers are running into it by the millions with their aging parents.
We were lucky: My father had a social worker on his case who called me and galvanized me into visiting him (he lived alone behind Stanford University) and getting his very firm wishes in writing. The DNR and such laws vary from state to state. I worked with the elderly for seventeen years before my father joined his angels and I saw it all.
Don't put off talking about your last wishes with your loved ones! Explore the scenarios and decide what you want your family to do. It's ever so much better when this subject has been thoroughly covered and everyone knows the game plan.
