Pain Relief

Having been involved in a number of acute/chronic pain studies, it always seemed to me that while 15% of subjects are Addictive Personalities (apt to over dose) the other 85% - when given the choice - tend to under dose. For that reason, I think it unfortunate that so many physicians resist adequately medicating all patients in pain because of the few who will abuse such treatment. This is, to my mind, the result of a terribly misguided, decades long, drug enforcement policy. Surely it's time this matter was finally resolved.
