Science and Cruelty

How brains, beliefs, and being human give rise to the horrors of human cruelty.

Love and Hate

Hi Kathleen,

I am reading your book about brainwashing which I enjoy very much! Nice work! And this article is also extremely interesting, especially because I know from my own experience how love can turn into hate. I agree with most parts of your article, and trust me, this doesn't happen very often!

Keep up the good work!

Remus

Reassurance from Remus

Glad to hear it! Thanks, Remus.

On Love and Hate

This happened with my therapist, the other intimate relationship.... She was amazing, always went out of her way for me.
I was scared of her kindness and was committed to pushing her away. I succeeded and
she was no longer the same person and began to loathe me....and terminated suddenly.
But you are right...it's easier for me to think ill of her than to reflect how much care I felt in her company.
