I'm not so sure that fat women "need each other". Fat women resent it mightily when their friends lose weight, try to derail them from their food/exercise plans and scoff at their fitness goals. They're like crabs in a bucket; as soon as one starts to make a bid for freedom, the other crabs will drag them back.

And if you ever DO get to the point where you don't have to beat yourself up with "I have to lose x pounds for this event," you better have some other dreams waiting in the wings. The thrill of initial weight loss does wear off and then you are faced with "now what?"

I love the idea of the Dream Diet! Incorporating all aspects of self improvement, not just losing weight, to get you somewhere. That makes so much sense.
