Yeppers
This is interesting
Was I like that when I was little?
co-sleeping... is normal
Mothering magazine cited a study showing that "in 67 percent of the cultures around the world, children sleep in the company of others."

That doesn't mean that they should, but as far as Americans worrying that they are doing something seriously wrong or something that they should be embarrassed about, it should help to know that their kids aren't that different. It's just that Westerners have skewed the norms.
I would often sleep on my parents floor in a sleeping bag up until I was in high school. This usually happened when my father was away on trips, but I still went to college away from home, traveled on my own and grew up "normal."
I think it should be noted
I think it should be noted how culturally-based this topic is.
I lived abroad in India for six months and in many of the families, the women of three generations shared a bed while the men each got their own bed or floor mat.
