Dr. Kelley has published extensively on effects of deployment on men and women who deploy and their families. She has examined Navy family support programs, such as the New Parent Support Program, the Navy Sexual Assault Prevention and Advocacy Program for U.S. Navy Personnel. In addition, she studies geographic mobility among military families and children's well-being, and non-military and combat exposure as related to PTSD, depression, and alcohol use. She is a member of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Mental Illness Research, Education & Clinical Center (VISN6 MIRECC) Women Veterans Work Group.
