He is also the co-author of The End-of-Life Handbook: A Compassionate Guide to Connecting with and Caring for a Dying Loved One (New Harbinger Publications) and Public Speaking for Psychologists (American Psychological Association Books).

His research and writings primarily address hope, meaning, and growth in the face of serious traumas, losses, and setbacks. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters, and has presented nationally and internationally to audiences in the healthcare, technology, and education sectors.
