Lynn Schofield Clark, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of Denver who studies the choices we face as digital and mobile media change our relationships and our societies. Digital and mobile media offer new opportunities for connection as well as new causes for concern. How should caregivers, parents, teachers, and other concerned adults respond to the new dilemmas that these media bring into our lives? This blog addresses these and other key questions that adults raise. Reviewing and translating the latest research findings for a broad audience, it cautions parents against letting their anxieties get in the way of good parenting decisions. Based on more than 10 years of research with young people and those who care about them, this blog draws and expands upon Schofield Clark's book, The Parent App: Understanding Families in a Digital Age (Oxford University Press, 2012).
