Patrick Bordnick, Ph.D., is a professor and the dean of the Tulane University School of Social Work. He has developed and tested virtual reality equipment and software programs for assessing drug and alcohol cravings and is currently directing a study that looks at the use of virtual reality for cue extinction in heroin users. His research background is rooted in interdisciplinary collaborations which draw upon public health, psychology, social work, pharmacology and medicine.
