Sybil Lockhart, Ph.D.
Sybil Lockhart, Ph.D. is a writer, teacher, biologist and mom. She was trained in psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, in education at San Francisco State University, and in cell and molecular neuroscience at Brandeis University. She has taught English and French at Maybeck High School, biology and physiology at Brandeis, neuroscience at U.C. Berkeley, and the Classroom Matters summer expository essay workshop. Her writing has appeared in anthologies, scientific journals, and parenting magazines. She is a co-creator of Literary Mama Magazine and author of Mother in the Middle: A Biologist's Story of Caring for Parent and Child (Touchstone/Simon Schuster, 2009).
