Steven J. C. Gaulin earned his undergraduate degree (with honors) with a double major in anthropology and psychology from U. C. Berkeley, and his doctorate in biological anthropology from Harvard. He is senior author of a leading textbook in evolutionary psychology, editor of a reader in biological anthropology, and junior author of a forthcoming book on women's unique fat metabolism; he recently completed a ten-year term as co-editor-in-chief of the journal Evolution and Human Behavior.
