Stacy Pershall

Stacy Pershall, author of Loud in the House of Myself: Memoir of a Strange Girl (2011; Norton), holds an MFA in electronic art from the University of Cincinnati. Born and raised in the predominantly Baptist town of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Pershall battled with a variety of mental health struggles before finding a revolutionary cure in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and a new mood-stabilizing medication. A self-described lifelong gypsy who has now lived in nine cities and three countries, Pershall currently resides in New York where she works as a writer and artist.
