Seth Roberts
I am a professor of psychology at Tsinghua University, Beijing. Before Tsinghua, I was a professor at the University of California, Berkeley. I am on the editorial board of the journal Nutrition and the Quantified Self scientific advisory board and a co-organizer of the Ancestral Health Symposium. I am best known for my self-experimentation, which has been about how to lose weight, sleep better, improve mood, and improve overall health. My weight-loss discoveries led to The Shangri-La Diet. I have studied how omega-3 and butter improve brain function and how animal fat improves sleep. I am also interested in human evolution and the health benefits of fermented foods.
