Richard A. Lovett, Ph.D., and Holly Hight

Richard A. Lovett, Ph.D., and Holly Hight are a coaching/running duo from Portland, Oregon. Richard is a full-time writer and former law professor. He has written nearly 3,000 articles and six books, including Alberto Salazar's Guide to Road Racing, coauthored with marathon legend Alberto Salazar. He also coaches Portland's 300-member Team Red Lizard running club. Holly is a national age-group champion in trail running and masters track. She studied criminology, political science, and psychology at Southern Oregon State University, and has written for Running Times and a variety of other publications.
