Nipun Mehta
Nipun Mehta, a UC Berkeley graduate, left Silicon Valley and founded a non-profit that builds free websites for nonprofits. He has spoken at the United Nations, has received the President's Volunteer Service Award, and sits on the advisory board of organizations like the Dalai Lama Foundation and the Greater Good Science Center. Mehta founded ServiceSpace.org, a volunteer-run organization that leverages technology to inspire generosity-driven social change. With close to 400,000 members, they incubate a wide range of projects that shift our collective ethos towards a gift culture. They have been featured on CNN, Wall Street Journal, and Readers Digest; the former editor of the Christian Science Monitor is writing a book about Mehta's movement (to be released in 2012 by Berrett Koehlers). Mehta also blogs with the Huffington Post.
