Miki Kashtan, Ph.D.
Miki Kashtan, Ph.D., is a co-founder of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication and serves as its lead facilitator and trainer. She is inspired by the role of visionary leadership in shaping a livable future, and works towards that vision by living, using, and sharing the principles and practice of Nonviolent Communication. Kashtan hosts the Conflict Hotline, a live TV show on the Berkeley Community Media channel BETV. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California at Berkeley and her articles have appeared in publications including Communities magazine, Tikkun magazine and Encounter: Education for Meaning and Social Justice.
